Unemployment
Just over two weeks of not having a job…
As sad as it was to leave the people I have worked with for the last five and a half years it really felt amazing to turn off all my morning alarms which periodically started from 4am (due to ambitions of early morning gym sessions…I went twice) and went through till 6.30am for my 7am start. Do not miss alarms at all.
However I feel like I’ve been working harder than I ever had the first week off while we packed and cleaned the house for our move.
Work was gracious enough to organise a farewell card with some kind words and some food to send me off on my last day.
Even though I have no idea what will happen after the gap year it’s always good to know you are leaving on good terms.
I provided a few months of unofficial notice which was a quick heads up to the supervisor and then 9 weeks official notice.
I don’t have my actual resignation letter with me, but a good example that mine was based of was from wikihow (https://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-Resignation-Letter)
