Day 70 – Seoul
Today we ended up struggling to get out of bed opting to stay in the warm dorm rooms of That House Itaewon. After planning our stay in Seoul for the next few days we decided to go to the Korean War Memorial.
The War Memorial is a very large complex with large exhibits which are done so well. Large panels with explanations in both English and Korean detail all the exhibits and the best thing is the on-demand videos that are scattered throughout the building.
The Museum has exhibits showcasing the history of Korea and the ancient wars starting with the stone ages through to the three kingdoms of Korea. Then it moves through the ages into the recent Korean War. We actually only did one and a half of the levels of the museum as the museum started to close.
As the inside exhibits were closing, we went outside and saw the military hardware (tanks, helicopters, planes and rockets), before heading back to our accommodation.
