Day 67 – Yunomine Onsen to Osaka

Today we woke up less sore than we expected and we managed to walk to the bus stop in Yunomine Onsen. We caught the bus around 8am to Tanabe. At Tanabe, we had some time to kill until our next bus, so we walked down to the beach and had a nice lunch from the Lawson’s Convenience Store.

The bus from Tanabe to Osaka was a whole 4 minutes late. That was crazy for Japanese standards and we were seriously worrying that we were at the wrong bus stop.

Once in Osaka, we arrived at a capsule hotel called Hotel J Ship Capsule just to try out the capsule experience. We got there around 4:30pm and we were the first guests to arrive for the day. The place is crazy. The male and female rooms are on different levels. Everything is provided for an overnight stay (clothing, toiletries, coffee, and you can buy food and alcohol from vending machines). Only downside is we can’t be in the room from 10am to 5pm so they can clean the capsules.

We then walked to check out the Osaka night light around Dotombori. We were surprised to see that Dotombori was happening on a Monday night, with thousands of people walking past the oversized food signs and flashing lights with plenty of restaurants and street food. While walking past the canal we stumbled across a outdoor concert with a Japanese girl group Karmen Joshi. Also the famous running man is located here.
