Day 362 – Cancun

Today was a rest day, as my wife started feeling a little unwell last night. Since we would be travelling to our next country in a few days, we thought it would be best to rest.

By the time we were ready to leave our hostel, La Casa del Arbol, it was close to 2pm. We walked to a nearby restaurant called Rooster. The restaurant was very modern and decorated with chicken wire. The theme matched the name nicely. We had two dishes and 2 drinks (the burgers and white chocolate frappe were amazing).

On the way back we bought some water from a Super K convenience store. They have 10L water bottles, which are always good for the environment.

Later on, there were thunderstorms and rain all through the day. Around 7pm, with thunderstorms still present, we had no choice but to walk towards the shops for dinner. We went to a restaurant close by called Kooben. The menu seemed to cater for the body building crowd, which is smart, as there is a gym across the road. We ended up having tacos again. The bread crumbed chicken tacos were really good. Not healthy, but good.

After this, we bought some supplies for the night from Super K. We got back 173 pesos change in coins! FYI the largest coin is 10 pesos. Not the best with only 2 days left in Mexico.

As we fell asleep, with the sounds of thunder outside. We really hope that tomorrow will be better, so that we can explore the sites of Cancun.
