Day 355 – Tulum
Today we spent most of the day relaxing at our airbnb, Casa Lupita. Around midday, we decided to go out to check out a “museum” that had some mixed reviews online. However, it was free entrance, so we thought it was worth the risk.
Azulik Resort
We walked to Azulik Resort, which was more than 5 km away. In the Tulum heat, it was quite a challenge. There is a really good bicycle path from the town towards the beaches (that are all owned by resorts, so we couldn’t find any public access).
Once we arrived at the Azulik “museum”, we found out that it is more of a concept building for the resort. The building is really cool to walk around. However, there isn’t much to see, and will take less than 15 minutes to walk around.
There is also a shop that sells designer clothing. Once again the building is very cool, but the items are super expensive.
The staff at the resort, also invited us to the rooftop bar at 5pm for an “amazing” sunset. It would cost $35 USD / $50.72 AUD per person. We said we would think about it, but as soon as we heard the price we were out. The entrance fee would include one free drink and some finger food.
We then started our hike back home. Along the way we stopped at Chula Oyster and Raw Bar to have some refreshing lemonade. After our drinks we went back to the airbnb.
