Day 343 – Valladolid
Transit Day in Valladolid
As we were still helping with the case back home, we will remain in Valladolid for a few more days. We dropped off our laundry at a place near the main Cathedral called Hydrospeed (13 MXN / $0.99 AUD per kilo). We self checked out of our Airbnb, Agradable departamento CĂ©ntrico, as we will be checking into another airbnb.
This left us with three hours to waste, in between check ins. We walked down Calle 41 with our backpacks and had lunch at Soletana CafĂ© Santuario. Once we walked through the doors, we were shocked at the amount of space. There is a hidden oasis in the back, which is very cool. On the other hand, the dishes were pretty small. But the drinks like the white chocolate frappe and the hot latte were delicious.Â
While we were still hanging around the grounds of Soletana Café Santuario, we could see the sky turning grey. With only 30 minutes until we could check in, we hoped for the best.
Inevitably, the rain started. We ran inside with our bags. We then waited inside until the rain died down. After what felt like an hour, the rain stopped and we walked towards our new Airbnb, Loft Privado Cerca del Ex Convento San Bernardino. This required walking down some partially flooded streets.
Once we arrived, we found that the place was amazing. It had a separate lounge, a bedroom with a hammock (bedroom goals!), kitchen and small outdoor area. It was excellent value for money.
We were very happy to set up our temporary office here that we extended our stay to a week straight away.
