Day 337-342 – Valladolid

The next few days were spent working on the case back home. We were originally in the airbnb, Depto 2 Rosa Maria A/C con Estacionamiento, where we cooked meals in our basic kitchenette.

After a few days we moved to a more centrally located airbnb, Agradable departamento Céntrico that had a better kitchen. This airbnb was a studio apartment. We never had any interaction with the host, as the keys were just left in a drop box. The place was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. There was unfortunately a construction site across the road, which would get really loud during the day. Otherwise, we had no complaints.

During this time we didn’t do much except visit the San Bernardino of Siena Convent on Day 339. This is the convent where the history of Valladolid was projected back on Day 336. The area open to the public is pretty small. Entrance is only 30 MXN / $2.28 AUD per person. There is a room full of photos and information about the history of the convent. There are also some old artefacts found around the convent. You can also visit the cenote, which was used by the monks to collect fresh water. There is a massive structure made to collect water from what we could gather.
