Day 11 – Colombo to Kandy
Summary:
Today we caught the Main Line train once more to resume our journey. We stopped at the ancient capital of Kandy in the afternoon.
After arriving at Dreamscape Home Stay (affiliated link) in Kandy we used a PickMe down to the famous Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) which is the location of one of the most sacred relics for Sri Lankan Buddhists.
After learning about the history of the Tooth relic we walked into town for dinner before riding home in another PickMe, to end a long yet relaxing day.
